Merry Christmas, Everyone! We are always so excited to wake up on Christmas morning. We start with changing into our new Christmas pj's...then, we open our gift that Santa leaves us, have a big, family breakfast, read the Christmas story from Luke 2, pray, exchange gifts as a family, and then open our stockings. It's always such a fun family time together. We are thankful for family...and for the gifts...but we are most thankful for God sending His Son into the world to save us.

Averie loved her volleyball spike set from Santa.

Brady was super excited about his iPod touch.

Brecken was thrilled to get his ocular gaming set from Santa.

And, I was so happy to get the doll house for my Wellie Wishers!

Averie loved all her gifts, especially anything volleyball and anything Tom Holland.

Brady loved his gifts, too, but he really loved this McCaffrey Panther jersey.

Brecken also enjoyed all his gifts, but he probably loved his Tampa Bay jersey most.

I also loved all my gifts...and I am still at the age where everything is so exciting to receive...games, toys, books, crafts, etc.

Our family gift was a foosball table. We've already logged many matches on this!

Oma stops by for a visit while we are opening presents. So, we always have 1-2 to give her as well. We are thankful she can stop by and see us Christmas morning before we head over to her house for dinner.

christmas eve

It's been a Christmas Eve tradition for years now to head to church for our Christmas Eve service. Afterwards, we meet up for dinner with the Olmsted's & the Johnson's. (One is family, and one is friends that are basically family. 😉) This year, we went to Brio Tuscan Grille. We exchanged gifts, shared lots of laughs, and enjoyed some yummy Italian food.

After dinner, we head home and get in comfy Christmas pj's. Then, we get ready for Santa to come, tell Tinsley "good-bye" (our elf), and snuggle up to watch a Christmas movie. Usually that movie is the cartoon version of How the Grinch Stole Christmas. So fun!

We are all snuggled in bed, and Daddy & Mommy put the final touches for Christmas morning for us before they go to bed.

For our Christmas celebration with Uncle Blair, Aunt Blip, McKinly, & Easton, the parents decided to more of an experience and a smaller gift. So, to start our celebration together, off we went to the white water center in Charlotte for ice skating. We loved it, for the most part. Takes some patience to learn to ice skate, but we enjoyed it and had fun as a family.
