awards day/last day of school

The day before the last day of school, we did class awards.  Mommy was able to attend and watch us receive our awards.  I got the "crunch award" for being able to always come through in a crunch.
Me with my "Crunch award" and my promotion certificate to 4th grade!!
Meanwhile, Brady's class was always giving out awards, and he got the "Mr. Sporty" award.  Mrs. Rogers said that he is always shooting hoops and has great accuracy for his age...and loves to play with the older kids as well.
He enjoyed his award...and all his friends guessed it before he even got it!
The 1st grade class...well, now officially 2nd graders!!
Brady with Mrs. Rogers...he has so loved having her.
Brady & me...hugging each other in congratulations for the awards we both received!
The last day of 3rd grade for me...
...& the last day of 1st grade for Brady!
We were pretty excited!
All ready for our last day!
We started with awards chapel, and Daddy & Mommy were both able to attend.  Academic awards start in 3rd grade, so while Brady got wonderful grades this year, he will have to wait until 3rd grade to earn an award for it.  Here I am...receiving my high honor roll certificate from Dr. Johnston.

One last picture of Brady with Mrs. Rogers.  He even wore her favorite color on the last day...just for her.  What a great year Brady had!  His teacher was absolutely wonderful!
Mrs. Danner & me.  I also had a great year, and Mrs. Danner was wonderful with me.  I loved 3rd grade, but I am also excited for 4th grade!
HAPPY SUMMER TO US!!!

fun at home continues...

Emmersyn is really getting the hang of the walking...
...& she sure loves her monkey toy.  Here she is making sure her ball made it all the way in. :)
Just Brady...
Brothers!
Happy Girl...
...& another happy girl!
I pretended to have a spa at our home.  We had a lot of fun.  I am checking Brecken in for his "treatment."
He "enjoyed" it as much as a boy can! :)

steps in the right direction

Well, in just a week or so after my birthday, I decided to take my first set of steps.  I had been slowly taking a step or two, but nothing more than that.  Then, a few days after my birthday, I let go of the coffee table and walked all the way to the ottoman...about 10 steps.  My Mommy & siblings were cheering so loudly for me.  I took 21 steps that day, and it was so exciting for everyone.  Mommy was able to capture some of my steps on camera, but seeing it live was super fun for my family!
Look at how hard I am concentrating...Mommy says that face is just adorable!
Almost there, and I'm doing great!
Yay...everyone was so proud of me!  After a few short weeks, I'm walking around everywhere.

the many faces of emmersyn

Our sweet Emmersyn...she always has a variety of facial expressions.  While she is not the most expressive of all of us at this age, she sure does have some cute faces...

Here she is signing "please" with a very serious look...
...then she gets this cute grin...
...then, there's that tongue she loves!
Her face of wide eyed stare!
Her cute giggle face...
...oh, and that hand & those eyes!
This one is our favorite...our big smiled, blue eyed, happy Emmersyn Faith!

happy mother's day

For Mother's Day, we got to celebrate Mommy, Nana, & Oma all in one weekend.  It was fun.  We started out by celebrating Nana on Saturday evening.  Daddy's side of the family came over, and Daddy & Mommy grilled out a yummy dinner followed by sitting on the screened porch while we played in the backyard.  We are thankful for Nana!

On Mother's Day, Daddy helped us spoil Mommy.  We had a fun day.  We started out her morning with flowers, cards, and some gifts.  Then, Daddy made her breakfast...& took care of us.  Then, we took a few pictures before heading off to church.

Here are Mommy's 4 reasons why she gets to celebrate today.  She says she is blessed, and we are thankful for her!  We love Mommy!
After church, Daddy started driving away from going home.  So, Mommy asked if we were going to lunch.  He said, "You'll see."  He then pulls into Massage Envy and tells Mommy, "We will pick you up in an hour."  Daddy had lined up a massage for Mommy.  She was so excited.  We picked her back up afterwards, and we had another surprise in store...lunch at the Melting Pot.  This is one of her favorite restaurants.  So yummy!  We were also excited about going.

At our table were 6 red roses for Mommy...her last surprise.  She loved them, and they were beautiful!  She sure felt so loved and appreciated.  Daddy did a great job helping us celebrate Mommy!
We so enjoyed lunch as well...
...it was only our second time!
After lunch, we headed over to Oma's house to celebrate her.  We hung out and swam while the adults got to hang out in the shade.  It was a fun time!
We are so very thankful for Mommy, Nana, & Oma.
