We were so excited that our Carolina Panthers were going to the Superbowl. When Daddy & Mommy found out that Daddy got to go with Uncle Art, Uncle Abe, Uncle Michael, Uncle Thomas, & Uncle Todd, we were even more excited. Flights were booked, hotel was booked, and Daddy & Uncle Todd were so excited. Then, just a few days before the Superbowl, Daddy & Uncle Todd were able to get 2 tickets (due to a chain of events that worked out incredibly) for Mommy & Aunt Helen to go. So, the next 48 hours was booking additional flights, booking another hotel room, lining up childcare for all 8 children, & packing for everyone. Due to the way the last minute flights worked out, Mommy & Aunt Helen got to leave earlier than Daddy & Uncle Todd...AND, they got to stay one day longer. And, while our Panthers didn't get to come home with the Lombardi trophy, it sure was a really fun trip...& we had fun at home! :)
Mommy & Aunt Helen on their flight...decked out in Panther gear! I think they wore black, teal, and white all weekend!
Getting ready to head on the train to head to Levi stadium! We had no idea what to expect, but it was so exciting and fun!
Heading into the stadium...ready for Superbowl 50!
Us with Levi Stadium in the background.
There were armed guard every 25 feet, it seemed. We thanked them for their service...and took a quick picture.
Sisters!
Finally made it to the stadium...
...& bumped into Molly Grantham on our way in, who asked us for a selfie!
(She is a local news anchor in Charlotte.)
In the stadium, and we walked as close to the field as they would let us! (No, these were not our seats!)
Superbowl 50
We got there early enough (on purpose) to walk around and take it all in. We ran into a large variety of people. These Panther fans were probably the best dressed at the game, so they were taking pictures with lots of people.
What an awesome opportunity... (too bad we didn't win this game!)
Met up with the rest of the family that was there for a bit...and then, it was game time!
End of the first quarter selfie...
...too bad our faces didn't like this after the game! :( There's always next year to bring home the Lombardi, but the Superbowl experience was awesome!
The guys had a really, really early flight the next morning, but our flight wasn't until 11:45 that evening, so we spent the whole day in San Francisco shopping, eating, and laughing. Tourist shops, 12 floors of Macy's, and trying out this In-N-Out burger that many people talk about (it was yummy!).
Can you see the Golden Gate Bridge in the background?
Such a wonderful weekend!
