the first haircut

Mommy finally gave in for the much needed haircut.  I (Emmersyn) had some serious bed head, and it was getting harder for my Mommy to tame, so off we went to see Mrs. Lara for my very first haircut.  

All ready to go...I wasn't sure what to think...this cape, the big chair, a new environment...it was a lot to take in!

But, with a paci...holding Mommy's hand...and seeing myself in the mirror...I did great!

Bye, bye, crazy hair!

All tamed and adorable!  

And, Mommy...well, she is still crying over the last "first haircut" she will do with her children! ;)

just reading

Emmersyn loves to read...when she is in her room, she is always pulling out books from her book basket and looking at them.  It's adorable!  She also enjoys being just a diapered baby, too, so she enjoyed a few minutes of reading in her diaper...while Mommy snapped a few pics!  So cute!

She loves this book...10 Little Ladybugs...and smiles a lot while she looks at it!

Time to read another one...

...& get dressed!  Her other favorite is 5 Little Fishes!  She loves to touch the fish!

golf with daddy

The weather has been so gorgeous lately, so we got to enjoy a super fun family Friday night.  We grilled out, played games, laughed, and wrestled.  Daddy also showed Brecken & me a few basics on playing golf!  We had a great time learning!

We are so thankful for our Daddy.  We love playing with him, and we love learning so much from him.  He really is our hero, and we love him very much!

fun at home

We have lots of fun at home.  When we aren't fighting, we are usually laughing and playing together well!  It's fun having siblings, and we are usually very thankful for each other!

I (Averie...& Stephanie) got to spend a few days with Oma at the beach.  The morning she left, she told us that she left us a note in her room.  This is what we found...so sweet!!

11 months old

Happy 11 Months old to our Emmersyn, one of the sweetest babies in the world.  Okay, we are a bit biased, but she really is a sweet baby.  We all adore her...love making her laugh and smile!  She is cruising furniture like a pro, saying "Dadda" finally, and singing "please" all the time.  She loves yogurt, puffs, and black beans, wears a size 4 diapers, 12-18 month clothing, and takes 2 naps a day.  Emmersyn goes to be around 8:30 and gets up around 7:30 to ride to school with her siblings.  She loves attention, and we all try to make her laugh.  She loves to blow kisses and "read" books.  Her favorite is 10 Little Ladybugs.  (This was also Averie's favorite as a baby!)  She has a content face and the sweetest giggle.  We are so enjoying her, our sweet Emmersyn Faith!
