spring break beach weekend

For part of our spring break, Daddy & Mommy took us to Myrtle Beach.  We got to go with Poppy, Nana, Uncle Blair, Aunt Blip, McKinly, & Easton.  And, Stephanie got to go with us, too!  Though the long weekend called for lots of rain and cooler weather, it ended up being gorgeous with a nice breeze!  We did have rain one day, but we still went to the beach every day, swam in the pool, & planned a fun activity each day!  We left on Wednesday and ended up hitting the beach that afternoon when we arrived...we were all very excited!  We stayed until Sunday and had such a fun time together!

Stephanie & me making drip castles right away! :)
It's awesome when your cousin is also your best friend!
Just like these two boys...Brecken & Easton...
...& these two boys, Brady & McKinly.
Emmersyn just loved playing and digging in the sand...everybody always spends some time with her, too!

We all played together well...
...& enjoyed our time on the beach!
That night, we enjoyed dinner out at a nice Italian steakhouse.  Then, we all crashed in bed that evening.  The next 2 days were more fun days at the beach and pool.

Emmersyn laughing at Brady & McKinly being silly!  She thinks those boys are so funny!

...& Emmersyn thinking it's so funny again!
These boys...such good buds!
Even though there was a "no swim" advisory in effect (due to an unusually high amount of bacteria in the water), we did let the kids jump the waves at the water's edge.  They loved that!
These two...so sweet!
You would never think these boys are only 10 weeks apart...and super excited about both starting kindergarten in the fall! (Sniff, sniff!)
This picture makes us laugh...trying to all jump at the same time...
...so we just laughed about it!
We also enjoyed lots of pool time.  Emmersyn loved being in the water with Daddy...
...& she was all smiles!

That night, we headed to Pirate's Voyage for a dinner show.  We have been before, but we always enjoy the show and the food.  This time, Brady & McKinly got to chase some ducks in a race.  It was a fun evening.

On Saturday, we got to spend the day at Broadway at the Beach.  We went to the Wonderworks museum, enjoyed lunch at Keywest Grille, walked around, bought yummy candy, explored some more, and then grabbed yummy Italian that evening.  Another fun day!

...& Brecken's turn.
We also love the indoor ropes course here.  (We came once before in the fall!)  Brecken was hesitant in the fall, but he stayed up much longer this time...and loved it!
Brady was excited and explored the whole course on his own!
Brecken & Daddy
Can you find Brady?  He's way up there!
All smiles!
And, can you find him again?  He's way up there again!
Brecken safely crossing...
...of course, Daddy had to be close behind him!
A little nervous, but with Daddy's help, he did it!
We also love this simulator ride...feels like you are flying on this roller coaster.  Lots of laughs...lots of fun!
Walking around Broadway and wanted to take a quick pic of us on the dinosaur.
(Big thanks to Poppy & Nana for offering to stay at the hotel with Emmersyn.)
Back at the museum and ready to play laser tag!  It was a fun filled day!
On Sunday morning, it was time to pack up and head back home.  We had such a fun time together, and we were thankful for the beautiful weather.

easter baskets

As tradition each year, we do Easter baskets.  (We don't do them on Easter Sunday, though.)  Daddy & Mommy hide our baskets and then we have to find them by playing the "Hot/Cold" game.  It is always so much fun finding them and then digging through them to look at all our goodies.

All set and ready to hunt for our baskets!
I found mine...but, it did take me a while.  Everyone patiently waited on me since we can't dig in until everyone has found his/her baskets.

Time to dig in...
...& we are enjoying all the goodies :)
Fun, fun!

Emmersyn really enjoying her goodies for the first time...last year, she just didn't quite get it!

Cheese!

We sure love this tradition each year.  Easter baskets are always a lot of fun!
