7 months old

This sweet beauty is 7 months old.  What a wonderful 7 months it has been...what a great baby Emmersyn is...and what a blessing we have in her!  She sure loves smiling and "talking," she loves attention, & she adores her siblings.  She is a Momma's girl, but Daddy can really get her to giggle.  She sleeps great (8:30/9:00-7:30...a little later on the weekends), takes 2 naps during the day, loves to eat, and loves to play.  She is a joy, and we are grateful for her!

Happy 7 months, Emmersyn Faith!
Still loving that tongue...& those toes!
Sweet Baby Girl!
Sitting up all be herself...well, usually with pillows all around her, but she's doing great! :)
We love you, Emmersyn!

a play in a manger

I really wanted to be a part of our school's Christmas program, A Play in a Manger.  So, when we had tryouts in October, I was so excited.  I was even more excited when I got a role in the play.  I was the mayor, and I loved learning all the songs for the play.  It was such a great play...the meaning was how we need to simply focus on Jesus and his birth this holiday season...
My friend, Enes, and me
Daddy & Mommy were so proud of me, and I was happy to have my family there to support me!

christmas moments

Just some fun at home...here is Brecken all ready for his Christmas preschool program.  (Mommy forgot her camera, but she did get one of him before leaving for school...)  They enjoyed singing a few songs, including Brecken's favorite, Jingle Bells.  Always a fun treat!
Just me...all dressed up and looking older! :)

Emmersyn showing off her bloomers that she can finally wear...and just a sweet smile after church!
We get so excited when Mommy or Daddy gets packages delivered to our home.  This time of year, Mommy gets quite a few boxes!! So fun!  So, one of our favorite things to do with the boxes is to create.  Here is Brady's creation...it's a robot that he decorated.
A boy and his dog...he sure loves Hutch!
Brecken enjoying being home!
Of course, all the holiday fun catches up with him.  He feel asleep like this one day, and Mommy couldn't wake him up for 2 hours!  So funny!

o christmas tree

It's the most wonderful time of the year.  We have several Christmas traditions, and we love sharing them together as a family.  One of our favorite traditions in decorating our own Christmas trees for our bedroom.  Each of us gets to pick out a new ornament each year, our own box of candy canes, & decorate our tree.  We use ornaments and such from years before, but we love adding to our tree each year!  And, it's so fun to have a tree in our room...

This is Brecken's first time having a tree in his own room.  He was so excited...and he loved decorating.  He started with a few ornaments...love the intense focus on his part!!
He was all smiles.  He loved his new ornament...an Avenger themed ball!
He took his time decorating...and he was so proud of his finished product!
Then, it was Brady's turn...
...and here he is with his finished tree!
(His new ornament was a Ninja turtle figure!)
He loved it, even if this fake smile doesn't prove it! :)
Then, it was my turn...putting my tree topper on...
...& giving my decorated tree a big hug!
Loving my finished product!
(My new ornament was a Frozen themed ball...& I got to add blue tinsel as well!)
Emmersyn is not quite ready for a tree of her own, so she got to really enjoy looking at our family tree a lot!  So sweet!

preschool thanksgiving program

I (Brecken) had my Thanksgiving preschool program.  We enjoyed wearing turkeys on our heads, singing some cute songs, and then giving thanks to God for making us.  We are so thankful for all God has done for us!!

A boy and his train...

I enjoy playing with my lego train.  It's so much fun to put together (with Daddy or Mommy's help), and then I play with it for at least an hour several days in a row.  So much fun!
And, I love to play with it by myself...so fun!
I love my lego train...choo choo!

averie's 9th birthday

Happy 9th Birthday to me.  Daddy & Mommy can't believe that I am 9 years old already.  It goes by so fast.  I made them a Daddy & a Mommy for the first time, and I keep them smiling...& praying!  What a fun day I had turning 9!  My birthday was on a Sunday this year, so we enjoyed having some morning time at home, going to church together, having a family lunch at one of my favorites, On The Border, home for an afternoon of gifts, cake, and family time, and then out to dinner to Big Fire for my big family dinner.  It was such a wonderful day, and I am so excited to be 1 year away from double digits.  For now, I'll embrace being 9 and enjoy each day...like I usually do! :)
My "Frozen" themed birthday table!
Daddy & me...
I will always be his little girl!
Time for some gifts...I loved each gift I received, but I was really excited to get my very own iPod touch.  Can't you tell by my face? :)
My brothers and me...I do love them, but I also love telling them what to do, and they don't really like that for some reason!!  But, I am thankful for them!
And, one with my sister.  I so love her...and she loves when I play with her!
Another great gift was my horse & horse stable to go along with my American Girl Dolls.

Oma came over right before dinner to give me her gifts, and I loved all of them!  I sure love spending time with my Oma...& I look forward to our shopping trip together as part of my birthday gift!
Rummikub from Oma (I love playing games), and a lego set from all my VW uncles & aunts (Thanks, Uncle Abe & Aunt Cindi!)
The birthday girl...
I love the color blue, I love playing school, legos, American Girl, Frozen, playdates with my friends, & playing games with my family!  I do have a compassionate spirit for those in need, and I can have a really big heart.  I love to smile and laugh...& I am thankful to be a child of God!
My favorite...my family!!
Daddy, Mommy, & me
When we got to Big Fire, I got to open my gifts from Poppy & Nana and Uncle Blair & Aunt Blip.  I loved my puzzles, craft supplies, lotions, gel pens, and more!
