dad's birthday

Each year, on Opa's Birthday, we all get together for dinner at Oma's house. She makes all of Opa's favorite foods, we tell stories, and we watch a video montage of Opa. It's a wonderful way to remember Opa on his birthday. And, while we miss him very much, we are thankful for the legacy he left us. And, we are thankful for family!

9 months old

This sweet baby love is 9 months old. The last 9 months have gone by so quickly, but also filled with lots of fun times. We all love Emmersyn so much, and we are so thankful to have her in our family. She is such a happy baby...sticking that tongue out a lot! She started crawling on her 9 month birthday, so it was an exciting day for her! She takes 4 bottles a day (3 of those as her meals...& 1 at night), takes 2 naps, goes to bed around 8:30/9:00 and gets up around 7:30/8:00. She wears size 3 diapers and mostly 12-18 month clothing. She also has 4 teeth. She loves her siblings, and she loves laughing at our dog. She is still a Momma's girl, and she blows kisses...it's so precious! We are enjoying our baby Emmersyn...Happy 9 months, little cupcake!

This sweet girl decided to start crawling. She had been rocking back and forth for a few weeks, so we all knew it was about to happen. Then, Daddy & Mommy were being silly with her hair, and then she got the urge to crawl. So, Mommy put these adorable leggings on her (& forgot to fully dress her...haha!), and off Emmersyn went...our crawling sensation! We are so happy for her!

Celebrating Opa's Birthday as a family

My best bud (& cousin), Easton, wasn't able to come to my family birthday celebration, so he & my Aunt Blip scheduled a morning for us to celebrate. We met at Chic-Fil-A for an hour of play & then we had lunch together. As a surprise, Easton brought cupcakes & a candle just for me...& he sang to me. It was so sweet. Then, he gave me my gift...more playmobil police stuff. I loved it. It was such a fun play time together. I sure love Easton!

...lots of cannons shooting, guns firing, and horses running around this castle!! I have a great imagination!!

There were also a few sword fights as well! Fun times just me & my castle!

Emmersyn recently started trying to pull up on things around her...exersaucer, chair, coffee table, etc.

She's getting so close, and it sure is cute to see her sitting on her knees!

She also falls asleep in the most uncomfortable looking positions...here, her legs are in a "V" and her body is flat down in between.

Ouch!

So, Mommy went in to adjust her, and she came back to Emmersyn sleeping like this...haha!! So sweet!

Along with lots of castle fun, I also play with my playmobil set. It's a police station with fire truck, police car, police jeep, and helicopter. It's so much fun chasing the bad guy...
