steps in the right direction

Well, in just a week or so after my birthday, I decided to take my first set of steps.  I had been slowly taking a step or two, but nothing more than that.  Then, a few days after my birthday, I let go of the coffee table and walked all the way to the ottoman...about 10 steps.  My Mommy & siblings were cheering so loudly for me.  I took 21 steps that day, and it was so exciting for everyone.  Mommy was able to capture some of my steps on camera, but seeing it live was super fun for my family!
Look at how hard I am concentrating...Mommy says that face is just adorable!
Almost there, and I'm doing great!
Yay...everyone was so proud of me!  After a few short weeks, I'm walking around everywhere.

the many faces of emmersyn

Our sweet Emmersyn...she always has a variety of facial expressions.  While she is not the most expressive of all of us at this age, she sure does have some cute faces...

Here she is signing "please" with a very serious look...
...then she gets this cute grin...
...then, there's that tongue she loves!
Her face of wide eyed stare!
Her cute giggle face...
...oh, and that hand & those eyes!
This one is our favorite...our big smiled, blue eyed, happy Emmersyn Faith!

happy mother's day

For Mother's Day, we got to celebrate Mommy, Nana, & Oma all in one weekend.  It was fun.  We started out by celebrating Nana on Saturday evening.  Daddy's side of the family came over, and Daddy & Mommy grilled out a yummy dinner followed by sitting on the screened porch while we played in the backyard.  We are thankful for Nana!

On Mother's Day, Daddy helped us spoil Mommy.  We had a fun day.  We started out her morning with flowers, cards, and some gifts.  Then, Daddy made her breakfast...& took care of us.  Then, we took a few pictures before heading off to church.

Here are Mommy's 4 reasons why she gets to celebrate today.  She says she is blessed, and we are thankful for her!  We love Mommy!
After church, Daddy started driving away from going home.  So, Mommy asked if we were going to lunch.  He said, "You'll see."  He then pulls into Massage Envy and tells Mommy, "We will pick you up in an hour."  Daddy had lined up a massage for Mommy.  She was so excited.  We picked her back up afterwards, and we had another surprise in store...lunch at the Melting Pot.  This is one of her favorite restaurants.  So yummy!  We were also excited about going.

At our table were 6 red roses for Mommy...her last surprise.  She loved them, and they were beautiful!  She sure felt so loved and appreciated.  Daddy did a great job helping us celebrate Mommy!
We so enjoyed lunch as well...
...it was only our second time!
After lunch, we headed over to Oma's house to celebrate her.  We hung out and swam while the adults got to hang out in the shade.  It was a fun time!
We are so very thankful for Mommy, Nana, & Oma.

birthday fun part 2

We "may" have forgotten to have Emmersyn wear this adorable hat on her actual birthday...and since she had a few gifts left to open, we put the hat on, sang to her, and let her open a few gifts.

Doesn't she look precious??
Opening her books...
...& she seems excited!
Our sweet 1 year old!
We just love her!

more fun at home

We usually have lots of fun being at home.  Playing, laughing, wrestling...we are just thankful for our home & the memories we make in it.

Most of us snuggled up on the couch watching a movie!
Meanwhile, Emmersyn is busy pushing her baby in her stroller.
She loves her baby...she gives her hugs a lot!
Just going for a stroll in the kitchen...
Saturday morning fun...Emmersyn loves her new car.
She is ready to go shopping with that credit card in her mouth...haha!

I love my pogo stick.  And, while I really enjoy using it as it is intended to be used, I also use it (along with Brady's) as crutches these days.  Yes, every day I get out of the car from school and immediately go to these crutches.  Every day!
Another day...another cruise in the new car!
I LOVE my new ride!

muffins with mommy

One of the wonderful treats around Mother's Day is having our Mommy celebrate at school with us with Muffins with Mommy.  Mommy comes to class and gets to have a muffin with us, see our craft/letters we made, take a few pics, and enjoy some hugs and kisses.  We love our Mommy, and we are thankful we get to celebrate her.

This year, Mommy had Muffins with Mommy for all 3 of us...on the same day...Averie & Brady's were at 7:45, and mine (Brecken) was at 8:30.  So, it was a big morning of celebrating Mommy.
