happy 2nd birthday, emmersyn ~ part 2

A few days after my actual birthday, I finally started feeling better...fever free, happy, and lots more energy.  So, Mommy got me all dolled up again in my birthday outfit, and we celebrated again with just my family.  So, Happy Birthday to me...again!

My birthday table...it's tradition in our family.  I was so happy it was a Mickey themed table.
Showing you my pretty outfit...and my birthday table.
I love to "read" books.  I saw this Mickey book on my birthday table, so of course, I wanted to look at it...& I loved it!
"Daisy"

I just love Mickey Mouse!
I also really like my toes...and my tongue :)
Me & my siblings...I so love them, even if I don't quite look like it in this picture. :)
"Happy Birthday to Emmersyn...Happy Birthday to you!"
Time to open my presents.
I really liked this part, too.  Birthdays are lots of fun!
My siblings were all keeping a close watch on what my gifts were...even though they already knew what they were...haha!
I loved my Donald & Daisy stuffed animals...as well as the Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, & Goofy!
I'm one cool chick in my new shades!
Opening up my last gift...a buggy!  I'm ready to "shop" around the house!
This microphone, though, was a hit.  It played the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme song, and I listen to it over and over and over and over again!  I also sang along with it best I could...dancing all around with it.  I loved it!!!
Big smiles
(& yes, I hold it up to my ear even though it's not necessary...)
I am ready to jam!
Me, the new 2 year old, with all my birthday loot from Daddy, Mommy, my siblings, my grandparents, uncles/aunts, & cousins the last few days!  I had such a fun time celebrating my birthday.  Daddy & Mommy still can't believe how fast these last 2 years have been, but they tell me often how much joy I bring them and how thankful they are for me.  Happy 2nd Birthday to me, Emmersyn Faith!

soccer shots

I (Brecken) love soccer shots.  I participated in the fall, and then I was so excited when my preschool offered it in the spring as well.  So, Mommy signed me up, and I loved going every week.  So much fun!  After the 8 weeks were up, we get our certificate and medal.  I learned a lot and had a great time playing soccer with some of my preschool friends.

happy mother's day

We are thankful for the "Mom's" in our lives.  We celebrated Mommy, Oma, & Nana all within a few days, and we had a wonderful time at each celebration.  For Mommy, we (with the help of Daddy, of course) let Mommy sleep in & made her breakfast.  Before we left for church, we also gave her cards and a few gifts.  She loved them all, and we always wait for her to get teary eyed and the sweet cards we write her, especially Daddy's.  Mommy loved them all.   We are so thankful for Mommy and all she does for us.

After church, we meet Oma, Uncle Todd, Aunt Helen, and their kids to celebrate Oma.  Oma picked 131 Main, and we all love that place.  We enjoyed a yummy lunch & showered Oma with some cards and gifts.

After that, we headed for a quick visit to Nana so that Daddy could bring her flowers and a card for Mother's Day.  (We had already chosen to celebrate a few days later.)

We headed home for a little rest and than back out the door for Mommy's surprise Mother's Day meal...Melting Pot.  She was so excited, and we are also excited to be able to join the fun.  Emmersyn wasn't feeling well, but she was a trooper through all the activities.  But, we all had a wonderful day and enjoyed celebrating Mommy, Oma, & Nana.  Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to our Mommy!
A few days later, we headed to LongHorn Steakhouse (Nana's choice) to celebrate Nana for Mother's Day.  We enjoyed a yummy meal and some pictures outside.  Another fun evening!

happy 2nd birthday, emmersyn faith ~ part 1

Due to family traveling to Chapel Hill for Eric's college graduation on my actual birthday, we celebrated with my extended family the night before.  I picked "Big Fire" for my birthday dinner, and when I was feeling good, I really enjoyed it!  Unfortunately, I started getting sick on that Friday, but I seemed to be ok after my nap (proof in the first pictures below :)), but during dinner, I started feeling yucky again.  Thankfully, some Motrin perked me up the last part of dinner, but I was also ready to be in bed.  But, I did have fun, and I am thankful to have family here to celebrate with me.

I LOVE Mickey Mouse right now, so Daddy & Mommy got me this adorable outfit for my birthday.  (This will also be an adorable Halloween costume as well! :))  Don't I look ADORABLE?
Not sure which finger tasted better :)

Then, I started to feel really badly and fell right to sleep on Mommy.
(No symptoms, just a fever!)
I perked back up to open a few presents from Oma & Uncle Blair & Aunt Blip Blip.
Love my Mickey DVD, Oma...and all the other wonderful gifts you gave me!
And, a big thank you to Uncle Blair & Aunt Blip (& McKinly & Easton) for my Megabloks.  I loved them!
Cousin Easton helping me play with them.
"Happy Birthday to you..."
I "might" have ignored my cupcake to play with my blocks instead!
Holding Daddy's hand...he makes everything better!
Daddy telling me that I was going to be ok!  So sweet.  I love him!

Aunt Blip, Easton, and me...all playing with my blocks!  They surely were a hit!

...& I loved my books...
...& my camping chair!
I had a fun night being celebrated (in between bouts of not feeling well), but once I got home, I was ready to be snuggled again.  Thankfully, Daddy & Mommy love snuggling me, and I had a good night sleep!
