day 1 ~ in the hospital

So, we were all waiting in the waiting room to hear the exciting news...and we were getting anxious.  Mommy had a few complications that delayed her being released to a regular room, so we had to wait.  But, once she got to the room, we were just glad she was ok...& super excited to meet the new baby.  So, we all went back to her room (She wanted to be there when we heard the news...just like with Brecken!), and we gathered around.  Then, Mommy said (as she had the baby half covered so you couldn't see pink or blue), "You guys have a little...(yes, she paused)...SISTER!!  And, the nurse was able to capture our expressions on camera...
...some of us were SO happy...and others of us were a little disappointed at first. :)  (Don't worry...within 5 minutes, Brady was holding Mommy's hand and saying, "Mommy, I am so glad she is a girl.")
I was so happy that Emmersyn is a girl.  I got to be the first to hold her...the proud big sister.  I really, really wanted a baby sister.
And, Brady was very happy, too.  He said he was going to protect her from bad guys! :)
