We love celebrating Christmas with our families, and our VW Christmas celebration was a great night! We celebrate at Oma's house, and there's always lots of food, gifts, laughter, screaming, and good fun.

After our first of many rounds of eating, Oma starts by giving the younger grandkids (ages 12 and under) their gifts, and we open them one at a time. Emmersyn was ready to open her gifts...

I was so excited about my ice cream truck for my American Girl Dolls.
Madison & Emmersyn opened one of their gifts at the same time...Stroopwaffles! Yummy!
When Mommy was little, Opa & Oma would give her & her siblings each a chocolate letter for Christmas...or when they would come home from Holland. They all loved it. So, this year, Oma did that for all her grandkids...yummy!

After that gift exchange, we took a break for more food and playing. Then, the uncles and aunts gave to the grandkids based on whoever drew the child's name. We start youngest to oldest...so Little T all the way to Eric.
Daddy &Mommy had Little T's name, and we really wanted to get him a matching shirt to us (among other gifts). We think he liked it...
Emmersyn's turn...& she loved her lego set & other gifts.

During one of the breaks, Uncle Abe & Aunt Cindi & their kids started a nerf gun war. It was war for a while in Oma's family room. Bullets were going EVERYWHERE. So many nerf guns, so many bullets, so many bruises, so much screaming & laughter. Mommy caught this picture of Aunt Courtney taking cover...under the box. It was so funny!
Emmersyn used her new Minnie umbrella (thanks, Uncle Todd & Aunt Helen) to shield Little T from all the bullets!!)...so cute!
And, Aunt Kelly was guarding the nerf gun with her life.
The nerf war was painfully so much fun, and we enjoyed carrying on with the rest of our fun evening. Andrew got this super cool blow up couch, and I enjoyed sitting in it.
Then, the older grandkids received gifts from Oma, we gave gifts to Oma, and just enjoyed our evening together. It was a great family fun night.
