In June, we got to plan a trip to Myrtle Beach with Daddy's side of the family. (Ever since Poppy turned 60 a few years ago & wanted to do a little getaway weekend trip with the family, we have done a trip each June since.) What a fun time we had in the ocean, digging in the sand, walking on the pier/playing in the arcade, going to see a dinner show (Pirate's Voyage), & eating lots of junk food & candy (Poppy was the biggest culprit of this...it was his birthday, ya know? 😉)...but, we logged the most hours at the water park the hotel had...due to Poppy wanting to spend ALL his time there!! He absolutely loved it!! He became a kid there all over again...water slides, lazy river, & more. We had a fun time together, but we sure missed Nana, who couldn't make it due to spending time with Mamaw taking care of her in her final weeks. Sure makes you thankful for family & good health...& for the hope we have in Jesus for those who trust in Him.

VW cousin, Stephanie, got to come along on the trip so that I (Averie) would have someone my age to play with...& we had so much fun together. We are the best of friends.

When we got to the end of the pier, many people were night fishing. We saw this man reel in a baby shark. He let us pet it before he tossed it back into the water. Cousin Easton was mesmerized...Brady wanted to photo bomb...and some of us preferred to just look at the baby shark. ;)
A fun day at the water park...Poppy's favorite place to be! Emmersyn loved that she could do the water slide all by herself.

While we were there, we also celebrate Father's Day. We are so thankful for our Daddy. He is our hero, our wrestler, the provider in our home, and so much fun. We thank God for him, and on this trip, we got to celebrate him for being our Daddy!
