christmas with the vw's

We always love celebrating Christmas with the VW's.  Always lots of laughter, noise, and fun!!

Each year, after we eat heavy appetizers and play for a little while, Oma gives out her presents to the grandkids.  Then, we take a little break.  After that, the uncles & aunts give their gifts to the nieces and nephews by whose name they draw.  Then, another short break.  After that break, the uncles/aunts give gifts to Oma.  Then, we play games.  After that, Oma gives her gifts to her children/in-laws.  The last gift is always the big shutterfly photo album that all the kids work on and create for Oma.  It's her favorite gift.  Then, we all enjoy our gifts and play for the rest of the night.  It's such a fun night, and we are so thankful for family!

Uncle Art & Aunt Kelly had Brecken's name, and he loved all of his goodies, too, especially the Lego sets and ring pops!

Uncle Abe & Aunt Cindi had Brady's name (& mine, too, actually), and Uncle Abe wanted to see if Brady's gifts measured to his height...& they did!

We had a super fun night for sure.  We always look forward to this celebration together as a family!
